The Kids

    Ok there will probably be a lot of individual blogs to catch up to today so get ready:)

    Now that Ryan and I have decided to move forward with the adoption we needed to take the next step and tell the kids.  We wanted the kids to be on board with this before we continued to move forward.  This was another step in seeing if this was really what God wanted for our family.
    In the beginning of Sept 2013 we sat the kids down and asked them what they thought about adopting a child.  Bri was very excited.  Parker and Averi really didn't get it.  Lexi was hesitant.  I thought well God this is our sign, adoption isn't for us.  I sat Lexi down to see what was going through her head.  She really had trouble sharing with me her concerns so I told her lets pray about this and see what God tell you.  I told her we won't make any decisions until the end of October.  If God doesn't change your mind or give you a peace then we will rethink adopting.  So we prayed.
   One night at the end of October before bed the girls and I where doing our normal routine talking about there day, doing their God Times and praying.  Lexi decided to pray that night and in her prayer she prayed "Please be with my little brother in the orphanage, that he would be safe and not be hungry."  My heart about flew out of my chest.  REALLY she has now accept the fact that she has a little brother in an orphanage?  So after the prayer I said Lexi you are ok with adopting now?  She said Yes mom I want to adopt a baby brother.
  There is was one more step towards our little boy.  One more door opened.  Lexi 's heart was opened and now the whole family was on the same page.  Is this REALLY going to happen Lord???
